Can't install FCP without a QuartzExtreme card? What's that?
Hi I have been using FCP for years on my 2006 Mac Pro tower. My bbot drive just crashed and I lost everything on it, including all my programs. I just tried to install Final Cut Studio from the disc, and I immedidately got thiis message:
Final Cut Sudio Installer requires that your system have a Quartz Extreme capable video card.
How'w that? I should say that recently I updated my old graphics card to a ATI Radeon 5770 card. But FCP worked fine for the short time I used it with that new card before the crash. I don't even know if that new graphics card has anything to do with the 'Quartz Extreme capable video card' in the message.
Can anyone shed any light on this. I would love to get up and rolling again.
Thanks, Bob
