New iTunes playlist does not show up on iPod

Hello

I created a new playlist in iTunes on my Windows 7 PC with iTunes 10.7.0.21. I have an iTunes Match account and whenever I add new songs to my library it automatically shows up on my iPod4 wirelessly a few minutes later. However, the new playlist i created (which doesn't have any new songs, just a new combo of old songs) doesn't show up on my iPod. I'm under the impression that iTunes Match should make the new playlist show up on the iPod. I've rebooted my computer, iPod, and done a forced iTunes Match synch to no avail. Any suggestions?
