Nov 24, 2012 9:16 AM in response to Kevin Knottby den.thed,The older 20" and/or newer 21.5" iMac's do not support input, so you can not use a conventional display adapter or cable connection.
You can however use > ScreenRecycler
To transfer data between the two iMac's, you can use a Network connection although a FireWire connection is a lot faster.

Nov 24, 2012 1:23 PM in response to Kevin Knottby den.thed,Sorry for any misunderstanding, but what I'm suggesting are two different things.
First I would use the FireWire connection to move everything over to the newer computer and then use ScreenRecycler so that I could use the older iMac as a second display.
