How do I import RAW images from Sony NEX 5-R to iPhoto?

I have Mountain Lion 10.8.2 and iPhoto 9.4.2 and have installed Digital Camera RAW compatability update 4.01 but still can't import RAW images from my new Sony NEX 5-R digital camera.. any ideas? I also have Photoshop CS6 - should I import through that if iPhoto isn't a feasible option..?

This is the list of currently supported cameras

The Nex5-R is not on the List and so that Raw format is not supported at this time.

Note: The Raw from every model of camera is different. Note: that's every model not every brand. So, the NEF produced by a Nikon D40 is not the same as the NEF produced by a D60, the CR2 produced by a Canon 350 is not the same as the CR2 produced by a Canon 400.

Therefore the Raw for every camera model needs to be added individually. If yours is not supported then let them know you want it:

If anyone is interested, the way I ended up doing it was: Using Adobe Bridge to upload in RAW and also to convert to DNG (needed to install an update to allow images from Sony NEX 5-R to be compatible, as it's such a new model). Need to make sure that images are kept mosaic and not changed to linear. Can then import these DNG files to iPhoto if needs be (but can also edit them in Photoshop)
