Does Growl come with apple computer, i have never seen before until today. I don't remember installing it!!

Growl is a notification software package that a number of application install so that they can notifiy you of changing staus.
It is not something to worry about.
It does not come with the Mac.

Sometimes Growl is installed by another application - it's used for notifications (kind of like the "push" notifications on the iPhone). I had it on my system but removed it because it's updated so frequently that I was constantly getting "There's a new version of Growl" popup messages and the notifications weren't worth it. If I remember correctly clicking on a Growl notification allows you to uninstall or disable Growl.
