How can I upgrade my processor and graphics card in my macbook air (mid 2012)

Hello Mac community first oh all I'd like to thank you all for your help 🙂

So I have a New Macbook Air (Mid 2012) 13" with upgraded ram (8 gb)

I need to match the system requirments below and I was wondering how/if I can do that.

I am trying to match these:

  • Processor: Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU
  • Graphics card: DirectX 11 Nvidia or AMD ATI card, Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 or ATI Radeon 6950.
  • Graphics card memory: 1 GB
  • Sound card: DirectX compatibl sound card

My current stats are:

Processor 1.8 GHz Intel Core i5

Graphics Intel HD Graphics 4000 512 MB

The main issue is that my graphics card is not up to par, how can I fix that?

Also is my sounds card good or no?

Do I need to upgrade my processor? If so can I? If so How?

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND TIME!!

IM REWARDING THOSE WHO ANSWER WITH MANY POINTS. THANKS!

MacBook Air, iOS 6.0.1, 8gb Ram

The MacBook Air isn't available in the specs your mention, in fact the requirement of a DirectX compatible sound card obviously means you want to run Windows software. What software is it you have with those requirements and are you sure you weren't reading the Windows specs for that software rather than the Mac specs?
