Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

After completing all of these steps, I am still using Java 7. Is there anything else I can try?

After trying everything I could find on support pages, and on youtube videos, and even the oracle page, nothing seems to backdate my java to java 6. Has anyone got any ideas on how to back date? I have a macbook pro, running 10.7.5, and if you need anymore information, ask for it below, thanks!

EDIT -

Using this page; http://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/webnotes/install/mac/mac-install-faq.html

After going through the section heading "Q: Can I restore Apple Java 6 after uninstalling Oracle Java 7?"

I was still not backdated, and given this in the terminal;

"Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin: No such file or directory"

Any ideas?
