i have an iphone 4s i bought it in july, after updating to ios6 wi fi turned to grey....i bought this iphone from switzerland and i am now in egypt. what should i do?

restore as new if that doesnt work go to switzerland to get it repaired

do you mean that the ios 6.0.1 software damaged my wifi antenna(hardware)
it would not be the software causing a hardware issue. It is likely a software conflict or settings issue.
Are you restoring it from a backup or restoring s NEW DEVICE and before putting any personal data on it, trying to connect to wi fi?
and bhzel is right the warranty is not international. If the phone ends up needing repair, if you know and trust anyone in switz then you can mail the phone to them and have them take it in, or have them mail it in.
it is hardware what caused it i dont know. but only in switzerland can you get it repair
right now i am trying to do what appletini6 said. i will restore the iphone as new.....last hope
restoring from a backup is useless and will not rule out hardware issues, restoring as new device and THEN trying to connect to wifi will tell us whether this is a hardware issue or not.
Also is it just your network you cannot connect to or can you connect to any others?
i restored the iphone and i made it as new but still wifi greyed and can't on/off wifi......
i think it is a hardware problem.....after 4 months only!!!!!!😢
you will need to contact applecare then and have them look up your warranty status. either way, only option for repair is to return the phone to the country you bought it from.
