New Battery Blues!
I unplugged my new battery before it was fully charged. At this point, do I drain it first or replug it and continue to fully charge it?

No. New Apple batteries require no specific conditioning.
You did nothing wrong. Just use it.
A common misconception. Macs, like most other modern electronics use Lithium ion batteries and you can pluck 'em out from the charger whenever you want, no issues whatsoever. The charge to 100%, drain to 0%, repeat cycle thing is a myth and you can unplug it from the charger and put it back at whatever percentage you want.
