I want to drag music and videos from my TC to my ipad, iphone and mac. I dont want to have them on my computer, which is why i bought the TC

Time Capsule is a router with a hard disk for Time Machine and store data, but you can only access to the hard disk from a Mac or PC

You are misunderstading the Function of Time Capsule...
Is there a piece of hardware that you could recommend that can do this?
I guess I need to return the TC?
Perhaps having iTunes on an External Hard Drive is what you are looking for...

To Operate iTunes from the External Drive...
Start iTunes with the Option key held down and guide it to the new location of the library.
Be Sure the drive is Formatted Mac OS Extended (journaled)
