How do I jump to new updates in previously read threads?

This has been discussed at length - at the present time, there appears to be no way. What's more, occasionally, it'll actually jump to the last post automatically, but most of the time, it does not. These forums are using Jive software and the hosts are trying to improve the flow - so far, it's a hit or miss for any last post.

Although the above is sometimes true if you use the "Your Discussions" view https://discussions.apple.com/profile/Randy%20Knowles?view=discussions then clicking the elapsed time in the last post column should get you to the most recent post in the thread. You'll still have to work back to see if you've missed anything interesting.

Well, it doesn't work for me - I just tried the link in your post and wound up at the very first (original) post on a thread with 20 responses - this one:

I know it doesn't seem to work for some. For me I'd say it works over 99% of the time. When it works I reckon it is more efficent than click thread title > click last post. None of which detracts from the fact that it isn't clear which posts in a thread have already been viewed. But it is what we've got. 😕

FWIW, click last post does not work here either...... no matter what I do, I either wind up at the original post or some undeterminable page somewhere in the middle.....

As an addendum and to add insult to injury:

There was a new post or two on a thread I'm involved in and (as usual) I get to the first page. So I first click on "next" to get to the second (and last) page - once there, I am at the top of the page, so I thought I'd try clicking on the "latest reply" link. Well, rather than getting me to the last post, it took me back to the first post on the first page. So, I had to click again on next and then just scrolled down.....
