music it says its playing but then doesnt progress eventually skips the song until it goes to one that works. It only does it for specific artists and ive already restored ipod 3 times the music works fine on itunes.

Do the tracks from these problem artists play okay in iTunes still? What format are they in? Are these downloads from the iTunes Store or were they imported from outside of iTunes?

Yes the tracks on Itunes still work fine, And some are dowlnoads from outside of itunes but they worked perfectly fine on my ipod before. Since a recent sync, every time I try to sync or restore my ipod more and more songs get corrupted each time. And yes I did try the troubleshooting procedures.

Okay, so some songs that skip are from the iTunes Store, and some are from outside of iTunes? Have you tried deleting the iTunes purchases from iTunes, redownloading them from iCloud (at no cost) and resyncing the new version over to your iPod to see if that helps with the purchased tracks?

The majority are in Mpeg-1 layer file. The itunes purchases have not been an issue they work fine.
