scrolling text from motion too fast in fcp

Help!

I tried using motion 4 for scrolling text but it scrolls too fast... it scrolls perfect speed in motion but when I open it up in fcp 7.0 it goes faster.

my sequence settings match for fcp and motion 4.

I have tried auto, custom and fixed .

I have played with scroll rate mulitplier

I have shortened and lengthened the timeline

I have gone to some video's on setting this up i.e. vtc.com/products/AppleMotion4/Text/90443 and other videos... nothing I do seems to slow it down,.

Did you do a send from fcp to motion? If so, try exporting as a quicktime from motion, and see how that times out when you import into fcp.

I just tried it exporting as a qt from motion did not help. But it does isolate so that I know it is not fcp.

what is the frame rate of your motion project? Does it match your fcp project?

are you sure that the sequence is supposed to be 59.94 fps? Shouldn't it be 29.97 fps.

Try applying a speed change to the crawl in fcp to 50%. If the timings right, that would seem to be the problem.

I'm just guessing as I don't work in this format. Describe your workflow, where your material came from, etc.

Hey Michael,

I have never shot in 720p60 before until this time... just to try. I shot it at 720p60 on my camera and when I transcoded it in log and transfer to 422 LT. Pulled into my timeline and kept it at 720p60. I did try the speed change in fcp and it distorted the scrolling credits. In motion when I tried to finagle with the settings to slow it down more then It would not play the end of the credits.
