wifi vs cellular

I am a new iphone 5, ipad user coming off Blackberry. A little confused....when I am at home, should I connect to my wifi at home? Will this save me cellular costs?

Yes, Wi-Fi is most of the time quicker.

iPad will automatically connect to Wi-Fi once joined.

have my ipad on wifi at home but with the iphone will this help save cellular dollars? thanks

Of course, Wi-Fi is much cheaper than cellular.

I use cellular only if I have to.😉
