I compile programs using makefiles. I have done this in the past but today when I typed "make", I got the result "command not found".

I'm sure I have used the "make" command in the terminal in the past. I've created makefiles and compiled programs in the terminal but I tried today and when I typed "make", I got the message "make: Command not found"

You will probably be better off asking your question in Apple's developer forums, as most of the people here are consumers just trying to get along with their Macs, not programmers. You can get a free developer account here and then use the forums.

Best of luck.
