Transfer Mac OS X Server v10.6 Snow Leopard

I am using Mac OS X Server v10.6 Snow Leopard in a virtual machine. I do not need the virtual machine anymore.

Instead, I would like to set up Mac OS X Server v10.6 Snow Leopard on a physical XServe, using the same license. When installing, the XServe tells me that the license is already in use. That is true, it is on the virtual machine.

How do I revoke the license on the virtual machine so I can use it on my physical XServe?

Is the OS X Server guest in the virtual machine shut down when you're testing this?

I removed the network cables, ran through serial no entry again. Server had no chance to validate and continued with installation process.

You need a second license, if you need to have both running together; two active copies of OS X Server.

Yes, I understand that. This will not be necessary as I will throw away the virtual server as soon as the phyiscal one is up and running. Thank you for your advice!
