Apps won't install or update

My ipad won't update installed apps or install new apps. I've tried all the steps in the troubleshooting support for this issue and still I get the installing or waiting message that doesn't go away. Has anyone else had this issue?

iPad, iOS 6.0.1

I have the same issue. I have over 100 updates waiting on my iphone. None of them appear to be in progress and no apps are greyed out (although I did accident hit "update all" apps awhile ago and somehow stopped them because it was too many to update all at once...since then I haven't been able to update any). I also can't download any new apps from the app store. So if I try to UPDATE an existing app or GET a new app, I just get a spinning circle with no progress being made until it stops spinning and goes back to UPDATE or GET.

I've tried all of the above potential fixes, although I did RESET NETWORK SETTINGS, instead of ALL SETTINGS because I'd like to avoid starting all over entering my settings again.

In addition, I tried updating all the apps on iTunes and then syncing, but I get a message that there's not enough space on my phone to do so. I have 4GB of free space....shouldn't that be enough?

Thanks!

None of my apps will update. I’ve had the same number 45 in red over my App Store icon for months. Every time i try to update it asks me for the password to my wife’s iTunes account. I checked in settings. I am not connected to this account. I am always signed in to mine. Even when I enter her password to her accnothing happens. The update wheels spin for a minute then the blue update button reappears. Help please.

I don't know what all the steps are in the troubleshooting support since you didn't say what they were, but here are my recommendations. These steps have worked for others in the past but YMMV.

Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.

If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.

Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.

You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.

You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.

If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.
