New Ipod will not connect Error 1628

I am trying to set up a new ipod and the error message is 1628. I ran the fixes on the support page and that did not work.

Is there phone support?
What is the number?

Any help would be appreciated.

are you getting the 1628 when you try to install itunes or the ipod updater on the PC, or are you getting it when you try to run the ipod updater and do the initial format on the ipod?
