export as qt movie ... no video?

Hey everyone,

This is weird. I exported as a qt movie. Did not try to burn on dvd but just clicked on my file and only heard audio... no video?

describe your workflow. What were your clip settings, your sequence settings and how you exported from fcp?

Hey Michael,

here are my settings:

Just went to file/export/quicktime move

There are a combination of motion clips and still frames

first one is my motion 4.0 properties

First thing to try is to delete your fcp preferences.

and the sequence plays ok within fcp? Try this, duplicate your sequence (just to be safe) and change the compressor in your sequence settings to prores. See if that solves your problem.

DVCproHD does require special codecs (if I remember correctly) and it's possible something got screwed up on your system.
