How can I transfer my contact wrongly linked to my hotmail account to Iphone 5?

Hi Everyone,

When I got my Iphone 4S I input all my contacts, but aparently I linked all the contacts to my hotmail account. Since it happened I could never save the contacts, either my photos, music into my Icloud. Now, I am just about to get the new Iphone 5, and really willing to finally take the advantage of the Icloud features.

I do need your assistance guys, how can I input my contacts into my new Iphone and correct the mistake I have previously made?
