Is there a way to limit the size of the emails I receive? Can I set my iPhone4s to only download headers or set a limit to the size? I can't see anything in the settings.

I think you want to go to settings - mail - preview - then select how many lines are shown.

Thanks for the tip. If someone has attached a file to the email, will that stop the attachment from coming down?
No there isnt. If you get a file in an email, it will have you download it seperatly.
That should not affect the e-mail message. It just limits what shows up when you go to the inbox.
Is your mail account a POP or an IMAP?

It's an Exchange account.
My Gmail downloads only small embedded pictures. For videos and other big files I have to tap to download and this is a temp download. So you don't have any problem I thing. You can Delete the account-restart-add account back from time to time.
