Restore loop of death..... Help ME!

I am in a restore loop of death..... I tried all of the apple links / articles, but all I get is a screen showing (starting at top) blue circle with musical note inside; iTunes; arrow pointing up; picture of a USB lead. Ipod is then unresponsive. When I plug in to iTunes I still just get the same screen on the iPod and a message saying "iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode. You must restore this iPod before it can be used with iTunes. Restoring just results in the same thing over and over...... What do I do?

You tried this:

Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)

Troubleshoot your USB connection. If the issue persists, out-of-date or incorrectly configured third-party security software may be causing this issue. Please follow Troubleshooting security software issues. .

Next try on another computer

Last, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
