i have got a brand new iphone 5 from a contract with vodafone , just 2 days old . i would like to know how to unlock it to all networks , i.e factory unlocked mobile. i want to do this unlcoking soon like in 3days or so , not waiting for long time like 30 days or 90days , etc .please help me and thank you .

ONLY the carrier it is locked to can unlock it. You will have to work with them. If they tell you you have to wait, then you will have to wait.
yes i know my carrier can send request too apple for unlocking. i called customer care of the network too , one time they said it will be done in 3days and other time i called they said it's after 3months only they can reset it. so i am confused and want to know what is the exact duration for unlocking. and i cannot wait that long 3 months period , i have other carrier sim also to use . so can apple directly unlock my iphone5 if i request them so !!
Ask your carrier. Apple has nothing to do with it other than processing the request received from the carrier.
Apple does not unlock phones for end users. They can not legally do so. Only the carrier can legally authorize the unlock.

If you are in the UK - buy it from the apple store directly and it comes unlocked ;)

Sorry for so late reply. not been much in apple discussions . i go my phone unlocked within 3 working days of me filling up that campaign form. since i was 1year with Vodafone contract for my iPhone4S earlier, they said they will process it soon. so i am finally using it no network lock now . now got new issue with the iPhone 5 battery which is faulty i think since i checked it's serial number and it comes under that list. unfortunately i am living in India so wondering will apple help me in replacement here in Chennai, India. any suggestions plz?
Apple restricts all service to the region or area the phone was purchased in. So if you bought it in the UK, you would not be able to get warranty or repair service in India. Sorry.
well then apple should send me a new battery or give me a refund after i change the battery at my place in their authorised retailers !! i want to know any apple care persons work here to give me a correct response. since apple gave a defected inbuilt battery when i bought the mobile they are answerable to my question, they should replace me anywhere irrespective of where i live. why they their products worldwide ?

They have the Battery Replacement program which was rolled out this august only , they made defective battery for some phones and they should replace it.
