Mountain Lion - Scrolling lag

Hi,

I have upgraded my Macbook Pro 13 Early 2011 with Mountain Lion. Now scrolling between pages in Launchpad & Scrolling between Desktops and on some websites in Safari is not smooth at all. There is a lag while scrolling.

My Macbook specs are i5 with 4 GB RAM. I have shown this issue in Apple genius bar appointment they said to wait for next OS upgrade. Could you please suggest, is there anything i can do to resolve this issue. It is very annoying.

MacBook Pro (13-inch Early 2011), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.

Note: You need an always-on Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection to the Internet to use Recovery. It won’t work with USB or PPPoE modems, or with networks that require any kind of authentication other than a WPA or WPA2 Personal password.

From the OS X Utilities screen, select Get Help Online. A clean copy of Safari will launch. No plugins, such as Flash, will be available. While in Recovery, you'll have no access to your saved bookmarks or passwords, so make a note of those before you begin, if they're needed for the test.

Test. After testing, reboot as usual and post the results.

This procedure will reset the state of LaunchPad to its default. Any customization that you did will be removed.

Back up all data.

Triple-click the line below to select it:

~/Library/Application Support/Dock

Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select Services Reveal from the contextual menu. A folder window should open. Move the file(s) inside it to the Desktop, leaving the window open. Log out, log back in, and test. If there's no change, put the files you moved back where they were, overwriting the ones that may have been created in their place. Then log in and log out again. Otherwise, delete the files you moved.

Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)

☞ In the Finder, select Go Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.

Triple-click the line below to select it, then drag or copy the text — do not type it — into the Terminal window and press return:

ls -Odel Library/Application\ Support/Dock; ls -Oel "$_"

Post any lines of output that appear below what you entered — the text, please, not a screenshot.

One more thing i want to mention that after following all the steps which you have mentioned above, today I am facing slowness in safari. It is either not opening certain websites or opening half of it. Whereas Chrome opening all the websites properly. Few websites where am i am facing problems are 1. THis Apple support website and 2. Facebook.

Could it be related to what we have done above?
