imovie locked up, and now can't use. Won't open projects - just keeps spinning processing wheel. Version 11. Any ideas?

Thanks AppleMan. I have Mountain Lion OS and the intructions link you attached to your reply don't seem to apply. There is no "Options" link in the "Go" tab while in Finder. Any thoughts? I can't locate the plist file. Thanks very much.
Option is a key you press. It is located next to the command key.
Got it. Thanks. Deleted teh plist file. Seemed to help when I reopened imovie - listed all projects, but froze up again when I tried to open one. Went back to Library/Preferences, but no new plist file created. Should I try deleting the plist.lockfile file? Each plist file seems to have a lockfile file. Thanks again.
