SoundBar Connection

Hi, I recently got an Apple TV, and was wondering if I needed to get an Optical Digital audio cable if I wanted to use the soundbar with the Apple TV. Thanks so much.

Yes, you need an optical cable. Have you checked that your Soundbar supports optical, before you go and purchase one.

I use a Samsung sound bar and it works well with Optical Audio. It works independently of the TV so for a party you can start the streaming, turn off the TV and still have the music!
