None of the suggestions on that blog page worked. CD still stuck. This has happened before but I can't recall how I got it out. I seem to recall it involved a restart, but I've tried restarting the computer a few times to no avail.

Are you referring to: turn off computer and as computer is restarting hold down left mouse button.

I have the new Apple wireless mouse, so there isn't specific Left and Right mouse buttons. So when the computer is restarting, I just held down the mouse. And nothing.

I was implying the trackpad button , pardon for saying mouse 😊

If you have ultimately no remote option for ejection, you will need to make an appt. with your local Apple store on disk removal.

Removing media from a slot loader of course is not so easy, ...jamming things into same can cause damage and the delicate laser assy.

Finally got stuck cd to eject with F12 held down during start up --with drive upside down - black rubber/plastic side up ... did not work until I turned the drive upside down on a second attempt.

This worked!!
