Is 96 kbps good enough for iTunes Match?

I have a pretty large music collection (20,000) but in order to save space I converted it all to 96 kbps. My question is whether or not that is good enough for iTunes Match? I've seen some people who haven't had any problems with 96 kbps but Apple says that it has to be above 96 kbps. I just want to know which one it is.
