Trying to install Mac OSX Server Update Combined (PowerPC) on my G4. I got 43.0GB free, and it's telling me I can't install this software, as it needs 691MB of free space !!?

I just wiped the drive clean and started all over again.

Now, apart from usual frustrating nonsense of nothing being "supported on this system", I get this happening.

"Installing this software requires 691MB of space.

You cannot install Mac OS X Server Update Combined (Power PC) on this volume. This volume does not meet the

requirements for this update." , right underneath the icon showing Machintosh HD 55.8GB (43.0GB Free)

You cannot make it up!

Any help would be greatly appreciated

iBook, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

It means that one of the other requirements for it isn't being met, most likely because you're trying to install a Mac OS X Server updater onto the client version of Mac OS X. Try this updater instead.
