Q: Buying an iPad mini

There are a few things to keep in mind buying iPad for use outside of US.

1. US iPad with cellular is not compatible to your country, see the list below

2. Warranty is not International, meaning you have no warranty outside of US.

Even if your country has LTE now, it's the LTE band support that is use in your country. Read the list once more about LTE Band Support.

Having the same range doen't cut it. Note the small number 3 at the bottom.

2. To identify your iPad model number, see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5452. iPad models are unlocked and may support LTE networks outside the country of purchase when using a valid SIM from a supported carrier. Contact your carrier for more details.
3. LTE band support is based on the iPad model number and configuration for either CDMA or GSM networks. Band support does not guarantee support on all LTE networks running on the same bands.

Buy it in Europe, you''ll get warranty and LTE support has better chances.

nice info, but if I want to buy it from USA at&t, it will works at my country on 3G, correct?

iPad mini with Wi-Fi + Cellular can roam worldwide on GSM/UMTS networks. In countries without compatible LTE networks, iPad mini will operate on GSM network technologies such as HSPA+ and DC-HSDPA. When you travel internationally, you can use a nano-SIM card from a local carrier.

My question, if i bought it as at&t, the only thing i have to do is to replace the nano-sim card? there are no stamp for at&t or anyother extra stuff??

Warranty is not International so if you got problem, you have to bring it back to where you bought it from for warranty services.

Unfortunatly (i dont want to speak on Mr ckuans behalf) it basically wont work now nor in the forseable future, if at all. If you must buy it from the USA for the cheaper price point, your better off getting a wifi model only.

Not only for cheaper price, actually we don't have apple store at all in my country!!

you could get a wifi only model then buy something like one of these in your own country
