Q: small thin line across screen

I turned my mac on the other day to see a thin line that runs across the screen at all times, its white when on black and black when on white. If you take a screen shot of the screen its not there.

Any ideas

Hi Mark, good work.

Since it isn't in the screenshot, which is actually taken from the Video card, the problem is the LCD or internal cable.

Do you think this means the screen is on its way out? or could it just stay like this.

It could last forever like this, but do you still have ApplCare on it?

I don't think it's the screen, more likely the connector, which Apple scrimped on, but no way to know for sure from here.
