I have tried pressing the power button and home button at the same time but nothing is happening. itunes wont even recognise my ipod and I have checked to make sure there is no red bit in my earphone hole incase of water damage ( although didn't think this would be the case as not been near water!)

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
Thank you I have tried both of those and no response so looks like hardware problem don't have the money to have that sorted so think I will have to go with out :-( thank you for your help
