Nov 26, 2012 7:12 AM in response to shelleyjenby Malignance,If you don't actually use the remote for your MacBook you could pair the Apple Remote with the Apple TV so it only works for the Apple TV. The following link has instructions and though it only says ATV 1 and 2 I just check my ATV 3 settings and it's the same.

Hope that helps

Nov 26, 2012 7:40 AM in response to shelleyjenby Malignance,I'm not sure. The remote must use the same code for both the Apple TV an Mac to work for both of them. You could check with the manufacturer and see I they have seperate codes for the devices. As far as pairing to the Apple TV it wouldn't hurt to try.
Best of luck.
