My Ipad has a contacts icon/app that I can add all sorts of info to (such as birthdays so they will appear on my calendar). However I don't have that on my MAC just an address book with much more limited capabilities. How do I get these two to sync AND/OR find the contacts on my MAC.
What system are you running on your Mac? iCloud requires a mininum of 10.7.5: iCloud: System requirements

Address book has the same fields available as Contacts.
In Mountain Lion (10.8), the Address book app name has been changed to Contacts but it's the same app.
