3G conking out with battery showing half power or better

My 3G phone is running 6.0.1. Recently, it's started to just shut

down and requires charging when the battery is still showing a bit over half.

Is there some adjustment I can make? It didn't do this before. I'm not certain,

but it could've started when I upgraded to 6.0.1.
