After updating to 6.0.1, I can no longer connect to my ATT 3G MicroCell.
Can anyone offer a workaround that might get me reconnected to the MicroCell unit?

Have you tried re-booting the micro-cell? I have no problems connecting to mine using my wife's iPhone 4 or my iPhone 4S, both on 6.0.1.
