Apple Wireless Keyboard 'thinks' the fn-key is pressed

Hey there,

this is my first problem posted to the discussion forums provided by Apple. My problem is, that I bought a used Wireless Keyboard which produces weird errors. It seems like the fn-key is pressed continously. Restarting my Macbook Pro helped me out for about five minutes, but know the errors are there again.

Can anybody help me? Is my keyboard messed up or could it be a software problem?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities

Open System Preferences > Keyboard and make sure that "Use F1, F2, etc keys as standard function keys" is unmarked

That's not the problem. The built-in keyboard of my Macbook works fine and as expected, and sometimes the wireless keyboard does too. But if it doesn't, the backspace-key and the arrows are affected too.

Ok, now it seems that I can reproduce the error. The keyboard seems to work after i turn it off and on again, until I use the backspace key.

Nobody got an idea? Basically I am just trying to evaluate if I bought a broken keyboard, because the seller was private. Otherwise I already would have sent it back.
