I shared my project with YouTube.
Now I'd like to create a 1080 HD movie but after attempting this twice I got a pop up that said: "Unable to prepare project for publishing. The project could not be prepared for publishing because an error occured ( OpWrErr: file already open with write permission.)"

I would suggest that you open the Time Machine controls in System Preferences and temporarily turn off Time Machine.
Be sure to turn Time Machine back on when you are finished.
