Question

iphone 4 is not being recognised on my pc

i have jsut recently got my iphone 5 and sold my 4,she plugged it in to her computer with the usb wire and it is not being picked up, she has tried 3 differnt usb wires and tried rebboting it while plugged in? and i dont know what else to suggest to her, could the actual piece in the iphone be broke? and if so is it fixable? x

You can uninstall and reinstall iTunes by following the support document here. That reloads the USB drivers for the phones http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923. This is for Vista and Windows 7, Windows XP is here http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925. You can also check this support document when the phone is not recognized in iTunes http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538
