How do I remove 'CouponDropDown' from my Mac (Snow Leopard)

User uploaded file

For a few days i've been having this problem with pop-up ads on every site i visit. Here is a example of the ad on an apple.com page.

i'm using Google Chrome. Today I deleted 'yontoo add-on' but the problem persists.

Searching for Coupon Drop Down on my computer yields no results.

What can I do to make it go away?

MacBook Air (13-inch Late 2010), Mac OS X (10.6.8), using Google Chrome browser

Ok, i solved the problem!

Turns out it was an add-on/extension in my browser causing the problem.
It was colled "torrent handler" and I deleted it, now the pop-ups are gone!
Yay!

It was not in any of my add-ons, but I got rid of it by doing a Resert of Firefox following these directions:

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
  3. Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
  4. Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

Further information can be found in the Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems article.

For Lion users with Safari 6, it WILL be gone, this hellish problem, if you simply:

1) Open Safari preferences. NOT Safari extensions under rge pull down.

2) Hilight the extension called TorrentHandler. You don't need it anyway. (sorry)

3) Remove it from your life by uninstalling it with the little "uninstall" button.

Now go back to a page where it got bad, and it will be gone.
