Problem opening videos in iPhoto

I am having a problem playing videos in iPhoto. I recently upgraded my system to Snow Leopard to accommodate my new iPhone 5 so that I could upgrade my iTunes. After completing this, I am not unable to view videos in iPhoto. I have Quick Player 10.0 and my iPhoto is '08, version 7.1.5. I am unable to upgrade to iPhoto '11 as my computer and software are not compatable. I am having a hard time finding a place where I can upgrade my iPhoto to the next verson (beyond mine but obviously not the latest version) so that my videos will run. Can someone please point me in the right direction??
