iPHOTO 11, 9.4.2 problems

I am running iPHOTO 11, 9.4.2 on a new MacBook Pro 10.8.2. The EDIT-FULL-SCREEN option no longer exists. Shadow, Highlight, and Contrast sliders operate very differently than before the upgrade. Are there any 'fixes' to these problems?

The option to Edit in Full Screen does exist. Enter Full Screen and click on the Edit button on the Tool Bar.

What version of iPhoto are you updating from? In what way are the sliders different?
