It can take up to a month but sometimes as quick as a day. I think the first time a book is submitted it can be on the longer side of that range.
More than one month here. Review time seems to slow down again.
I submitted a book 10 days ago. I'm a pastor at a church and its an advent devotional set to begin tomorrow. Apple never said it would take this long to approve a book. Any ideas as to how I might expedite the process? I hate explaining to the 700 people in attendance that Apple is dragging their feet on something important to them
Is it a free book? Is it within the rules to host it on your own website?
I published my first book the other day
My first upload was scanned, and because it had the term iBook in it was rejected. Notification of my error was quick, the same day. I think this must be an automated scan, and resulted in a ticket being raised.
I corrected the error and uploaded a new version. This caused the ticket to move to "awaiting review"
Within 24 hours everything was cleared and the book was live on 50 stores.
So very quick, I was a bit worried reading some of the posts here, but my experience was it was very quick.
It's a multitouch book, containing video.
