The APO BOX is authorized company which is supporting you guys?

Hi apple

I have something to ask you.

I order through the APO BOX like 2 weeks ago.

I just want to check that 'the APO BOX' is authorized company.

The package supposed to be here in 10 days but it is staying at

DES MOINES, IA 50318

which is USPS sorting facility.

Something must be wrong. According to other product that I order through USPS 100% arrived in 10days.(most of them in 7 days)

I'm worrying about my Mac.

I paid lots of money for that and I'm still waiting and no reply from APO BOX.

I know it is up to their problem but I just want to double check.

We are just other users, so we aren't privvy to such information; however, I'm curious: this APO BOX claims to give you a US address to ship to? So how do they claim this works? Apple ships the product to some address you have no control over and then this apo box ships it to your APO address? Do I have that right?

I have no idea if they are legitimate or not. I do know that the US Apple store only ships to US addresses and the address has to match your billing address. I would not necessarily trust a company that redirects and offers such workarounds.

I had looked at that before posting - I don't think it's a sanctioned military PO box service - it appears to be a private company with a clever idea for a name. You have to sign up, establish an account and pay for their services in addition to the postal charges - it's that last part I have a little problem with. Trusting a third party shipper with an expensive computer while not knowing where Apple is actually shipping it to? And no tracking seems to be provided.

The US Apple store does ship only to US addresses, but the address does not have to match the billing address. I am waiting on a new iPad to show up at work, which is a different address from my billing address and have had several orders shipped to different addresses from the billing.

When you ordered from Apple you had your item shipped to the US address that was provided to you by APO BOX when you signed up for the service, correct? If so you should be able to track the shipment via the normal tracking you get when you place any order.

If the item has arrived at the APO BOX address then the shipment will be in APO BOX's system and you should contact them using the Help Request form.

If the item has not yet been delivered to that address then you need to use the standard procedures for checking on an order.

good luck

Anyway how long does it usually takes to get package through USPS?

I thought it take about a week....

Absoutely no idea, sorry. I've ordered from Apple and they ship via FedEx mostly. I try to avoid the US postal service if possible. With the USPS, it depends on the method that was chosen for shipping - I've had things take as long as 3 weeks if it's a regular parcel - did you have an option as to how to ship it (parcel, 1st class, priority, overnight or?)?

Actually there is separate page for APOBOX apple store which give you $200 off.

Isn't that mean that it is authorized?

Are you referring to the official online Apple store? Or the APO Box site? Can you provide a link? I have no clue if they're authorized or not. I could not find any pertinent information when I checked their site - there may be more info if you sign up, but I am not doing that since I'm not a member of the military.

I didn't know that USPS is that ******.

cuz I got most of the products from amazon in a week.

I can't wait to get my new mac book pro..

Depends on where it is being shipped to. If you're a military member in a foreign country, it can easily take three weeks. Actually, it can take that long in the US: I just ordered something from ebay; it was shipped from MA via USPS two weeks ago - as of today, it is at a sorting facility in New Hampshire (while I am still waiting on the West Coast) - ??????? Amazon most likely uses a combo of FedEx or UPS to the nearest sorting facility and then has it delivered via USPS - that works well. But using only USPS is not the best/fastest method unless you pay for additional services.

The misconception here is that the USPS delivers to military members serving overseas. They don't. The USPS only delivers to the APO/FPO facility, the one listed in the address...I.E. APO NY xxxxx. At that point it is put into the military system and transported to the theater post offices. But after it leaves the APO/FPO facility, it is all military.

You really can't count on USPS tracking information - a package's location will be logged sporadically but it might not update for days. Hours at best. A box could arrive at your front door, and several days later the tracking information will say "delivered".

Hard-core eBay sellers (I am not one of them though) have told me not to ship via USPS, since it turns away potential buyers.
