iPhone4 w latest iOS:
Double clicking the button on the bottom of the iPhone gets me ANY of three different screens:
Active Apps
Keyboard
Home
It's driving me kookoo. Is there a way to do a click and get running apps bar ONLY?
Or is there some other way to set up the Running apps bar alone in one maneuver?
iPhone 4, iOS 6, 14 gig capacity
maybe its the speed with which you are clicking? because if your double tapping and its taking you to your home page...what are you doing like 1 tap per minute? 🙂
I've tried slow, medium, fast clicking and I have never gotten the same screen consistantly.
Does anyone know a way to fix a certain click to one action? I only want the Active Apps window to show and I am constantly not receiving it because the STUPID keyboard or homescreen comes up.
try these-
restart phone (slide to power off, power back on)
reset all settings
settings>general>reset>reset all settings
You might want to read the manual; it can be very enlightening.
Press once: If it isn't on page 1 of the home screen it will go to the home screen. If it is already on page 1 of the home screen it will go to the Search screen (that's the one with the keyboard). If it's on the Search screen it will go to the Home screen.
Press twice quickly: It will always open the Quick Launch ribbon (those aren't running apps, they are apps that you have used recently).
That's the only things that happen. Pressing twice slowly while on the Home screen will go to the Search screen, then back to the Home screen. It's really just a combination of Press once, but repeated. Likewise, pressing twice slowly while not on Page 1 of the Home screen will go first to the Home screen, then to the Search screen.
Why? The phone is working exactly as it was designed to work.

Don't forget triple-click home.

ah ok well with 5.1.1 if you double clicked it opened all running apps.
It does with 6.x also if you double-click fast enough.

You aren't clicking fast enough. If you click fast enough you will get the Quick Launch bar. There is no such thing as Active Apps.
ok so OP needs to change his verbage from active apps to running apps 😉
I have tried clicking:
SLOW
MODERATELY
FAST
I get any of three windows:
Keyboard (which occurs mostly)
Home
Active Apps(Or whatever you want to call it)
Is there ONE way to SET one action to get the Active Apps bar?
As I've said several times, and I won't repeat again, you must click twice very fast. Your "fast" isn't fast enough.
Gee, maybe you should write a book on what is fast.
