Is there a way to covert an iPhoto 9.4 photo library to 9.3?

To use my old iPhoto library on my new Macbook Pro with flash memory, I need to make it readable by the version of iPhoto that the new Macbook Pro has. My new Macbook Pro's iPhoto 9.3 can't open an iPhoto 9.4 library. It can't upgrade iPhoto to 9.4. Is downgrading the iPhoto library an option?

There is no official way however iPhoto Library Manager - http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/ - generally can do it - read their FAQ
