15" Macbook Pro 10.8.2 No wifi connection despite wifi being turned on

Hi all,

My mid-2009 Macbook Pro won't recognize my home network. I took it from the library to my house and it did not go into sleep mode, and when I got home it was very hot. I let it cool down and restarted it. Now the wifi won't pick up any networks at all. Is there anything I should be doing to fix this? I reset PRAM, deleted all the networks.....Anything I should do? It will connect via ethernet.
