iPhoto 11 won't save changes I make for slideshow

I will take Ken Burns effect off of a few photos and when I go back to the photo, it's back on. I will also change how the photo fits on the screen and it will just go back to where the default was set at.

There needs to be a save button if it continues to be so ineffective at keeping modifications.
