compatibility mode

When I try to open itunes I get a message saying 'itunes is in compatibility mode and to turn compatiblity mode off before starting itunes". I use windows 7!

Why am I getting this message? What does it mean? how do I fix this?

My itunes has been acting wonky, synking is doing strange things!!!!
