Thanks for the response. Yes, I imported from tape. Find here a link to the FCP X screen shot. I have confirmed that this file opens and plays with the Quicktime player. And the audio is fine.

FCP imported it fine, I guess, because the .mov file in the Events folder plays OK. Just that in the viewer the audio tracks are missing. Is it some settings issue?
